EDWIN V. GATIA : PERSONAL PROFILE
Filipino citizen: Born and raised in the sugar Province of Occidental Negros
in the 1950s. Educated inthe City of Bacolod, and went on to finish high school at La
Salle High School in 1971, then finally graduated with a Bachelors of Arts (AB) degree in Mathematics
at West Negros University in 1982.
Joined the Department of Tourism from 1978 until his retirement
in 2003 by which time he has moved over to the United States.
He has spent more than 40 years of his life in the small community of Barangay Montevista
in Bacolod City (1961 - 2003).
